VACUUM PACKAGING
HEVEL SUPER EXPORT® Vacuum Bags
Hevel produces several types of vacuum bags, including the Hevel Super Export vacuum bag, which is famous for its high stability and tenacity, its good transparency and its low gas and water vapour permeability. The bags are not powdered, and open easily as a result of the usage of clean air through the bags. The thickness of the bags is 60-200 microns, the width 70-2000 mm, and the length 140-5000 mm.

Instruction
for Use |
Put the product inside the vacuum bag and put it in the vacuum machine. The vacuum machine sucks out the air and seals the bag. With atmos packaging a gas is added, specially meant for packaging under modified atmosphere. The recommended storage after packaging depends on the product and has to be determined by the customer. |

What is Migration Testing and Compliance Testing? |
i) the packaging must be able to sell
ii) it must carry all the necessary information about the product
iii) it shall be stable and fit for its purpose
iv) it must be safe and protect against microbial deterioration.
Material that come into contact with food are object of serious public concern.
Plastics and Polymers are regulated under EU REGULATION that packaging material shall neither transfer their ingredients into food in quantities that may impair human health, or deteriorate aroma or taste. In other words, food packaging materials should be safe and must not transfer their components into the food in unacceptable quantities.
In overall migration test, the packaging material must not cause a change in the food composition as in the case of deterioration in aroma or taste.
In Food Compliance Testing, after the substance is cleared of Migration Test, involves the use of food-stimulating solvents to carry out the test similar to migration test but subject to time and temperature, as heat can affect the transfer of packaging material into the food. Materials migration can be affected and accelerated by increased heat.
On a hot day, if you leave a bottle of water under the sun the water will taste weird because trace amounts of the bottle material dissolved into the water. That’s why we strongly recommend the use of our sous vide vacuum bags for sous vide cooking, hot fill and pasteurisation, as these bags had undergone Compliance test with the common food stimulants at 120°C for 1 hour. This test is done on regular basis, following the EU laws. Reports are available upon request
Furthermore our bags are co-extruded and the 2 materials, Polyamide nylon and PE were bonded or welded at high temperature into a tube; technically speaking, forming one layer with 2 components of material. No delamination is possible, unlike the 3-sealed or 2-side sealed bags whereby the Polyester nylon is glued to the PE and delamination is possible when the material undergoes thermal cycle.
